Houndswood House Care Home in Radlett is surrounded by parks and woodland and is a five-minute drive from the shops, restaurants and train station.
Our home is set across three floors, and there are two communal lounges and dining rooms on each floor, as well as a quiet lounge, conservatory and ample outdoor space, meaning peace and tranquillity is never far away.
Houndswood House has an excellent reputation and enjoys high levels of satisfaction and recommendation. A recent CQC report stated: “People received kind and compassionate care from staff. A relative told us, “Staff are friendly and caring. The home has a nice atmosphere.” A professional told us, “The staff we deal with are very knowledgeable about the residents and we have witnessed care and kindness from the staff when interacting with the residents.”
To help residents love every day, we have an ever-changing activities programme inspired by residents’ interests and needs. From book club and cooking club to weekly trips out and visits from a local nursery, we offer a wide range activities to help residents live life to the full.

Key Information
We provide care for those paying for their own care and in some cases where there might also be a contribution from the local authority or NHS Trust. For those paying for their own care we provide an indicative weekly fee. For those fully or partly funded by public funds, we may require an additional top up contribution.

Through Symponia’s network of carefully selected and qualified financial advisers they offer you and/or your family member empathic, bespoke advice on the best way to fund weekly care fees. This approach ensures that not only are all our residents and their families aware of the legislation and how it works but they are able to explore all the financial options available to them.
